Reader Remodel Contest | Labor of Love | Suzy S.
Over the last 45 years I have always included buttons, woods, rocks and clocks in my room designs.with my homes, I would remolded every two years and start over again.Last year I had open heart surgery and my boyfriend was there every step of the way. I knew he was a keeper! 3 months later we found a home & we weren’t even looking to purchase . The first time we viewed the house, we both knew it was our forever home. We were fortunate to have a friend who is an awesome contractor/builder . I’ve collected buttons for over 20 years to use on furniture /art . When we were going to remodel the bathroom, I had everything designed but the floor. I came home and looked at my button wall hanging and thought why not a floor? My boyfriend came in the room and took one look at me he knew , you want to make a button floor don’t you. So we began.. We asked family and friends to help lay the 1000+ buttons. Turned out to be a beautiful floor made with love with those we love.
