Cooking The Garbage
Starwind51

I live in a small rented apartment. The only place to put the kitchen garbage can is next to the heating pipes. I currently have an open garbage pail. I'm thinking of getting one of those wood garbage recepticles with a cover. This kind of thing:

The question is, when winter comes around and the heat is on, is this covered container next to the heating pipes going cook the garbage? I'm worried about creating bad smells when I have hardly any smells with the open pail.

Do I get any awards for asking the oddest question? :D
