I live in a mid 50's build Cape Cottage, cute little thing that had a beautiful renovation sometime in the early 2000's. I bought the house a few months ago and am still discovering little tid-bits about the home. It has a contemporary loft and vaulted ceilings which i believe are covered in plaster. Up in the loft the ceiling in the vault is flat up until a bulge about 6.5 feet from an exterior wall. I believe it was an old repair, possibly... i looked outside, and in approx. the same spot the shingles bulge in one particular area (Only four or five shingles). I am tempted to cut an inspection port but was looking for advice on the cut, i dont want to cut into any frame by mistake. I have located a few anchor screws i believe, but I also do not know if they are part of the repair job.
Any advice would be awesome! Thanks all.
