For Susan and Bob Fisher, who had been living in a sprawling 1995 five-bedroom house on the outskirts of town while raising their two children, the two-story shingled house on a quiet street of Sag Harbor, New York, was just what they were looking for. “We wanted to be in the village, to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, and our store, to live in a different way than we had outside of town,” says Susan. The couple’s business, Fishers Home Furnishings, has been a fixture on Main Street for more than 30 years.
